THE PROBLEMS OF GOOD AND EVIL IN IVAN FRANKO’S AND GNAT HOTKEVYCH’S HYTSUL PROSE

Abstract

In this article the problems of Good and Evil with the view of comparatyvistic method
in the Hutsul works of I. Franko and G. Hotkevych are analyzed. Special attention is given
to the specifics of Hutsul text, religious and mythological interpretation of these concepts.
