Abstract
The article deals with the main features of the postmodernistic historical novel “Dic-
tionary of the Khazar’s” in the context of genre searches conducted by Serbian author
M. Pavić. The author studies genre innovations, functional peculiarities of historical words,
characteristics of narration structure and intertextuality.
